Launch of new WinZip Android App

For all the Android users out there, WinZip, the popular archiving tool, has finally arrived on the Google Play Store with top features and availability. You can now unzip files, open encrypted files, safe view, compile multiple files into one and much more with your Smartphone.

This free Android app has already seen more than a million downloads since its launch. It allows users to open both zip and RAR files which makes it easy for you to send multiple files to other users. Moreover, you find all the traits that are provided on the personal computer software. Users can now view supported file formats such as image, text and web files directly within the WinZip app. Encrypted files, including AES128 and AES256, can be opened along with copying the unzipped subject to the clipboard and paste it into your e-mail id or into a different app. Not only this, the WinZip app can also automatically unzip and install downloadable apps which are a pretty interesting added feature.

Though the app cannot create zip archives, it can just open them at present. Nevertheless, it provides integrated viewing backing for supported photo and image formats including .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .gif, supported text files including .rtf, .csv, .txt, .ini, .inf, .bat, .js, .log, .xml, .css, .java, .cs, .h, .m, .cpp, .c,.sql, .properties as well as web files including .htm, .html, .jsp, .asp) Apk files .apk. File types in third party apps such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations can also be opened.
