Pocket TV Converts Your TV Into Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Device

We have heard about Brando’s Mini X TV Box that converts your regular TV into a smart TV by making it a monitor for the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. Pretty cool right? But wait until you hear a new project that has been launched on Kickstarter, which is called Pocket TV.

Pocket TV is basically an HDMI dongle which you need to plug into your TV, after which it will convert into an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device. Just on a much bigger screen!  The dongle comes with a 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi connectivity, a microSD card slot and even a USB host connector- all in a very small package.  The Pocket TV also offers access to the Google Play store, letting you download and install apps easily.

The Pocket TV project was launched on Kickstarter just a few days back and is already fully funded! If you pledge $110, you will receive a Pocket TV along with an IR remote. If you decide to be more generous and pledge $135, you receive a Pocket TV along with a wireless air remote. The Pocket TV device will begin to be shipped from October.
