Google CEO Larry Page has said that the company will keep the mobile operating system Android, to remain open. The Android OS will remain so despite the fact that Google has the Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. acquisition pending.

The company is planning ‘to build great devices’ that can be ran on the Android platform along with the technology using Motorola Mobility, Mr. Page said. The same was posted on Google’s web site through an open letter.

The Google CEO also emphasized that the growing Android eco system will for eternity stay open to even other gadget manufacturers. He even reiterated that Android OS was developed as open eco system. The same will continue in the future without any changes.

But some experts say that the Google-Motorola deal may shake the relationship with their other device developers that use the Android OS in tablets and Smartphones. However, these remain just speculations and only time can tell the actual facts.

The letter also spoke of Google venturing into making their own devices as well. However, Google has put emphasis that the acquisition is targeted at beefing up the patent assortment. This will allow the company to protect Android’s eco system.
