Android Casino Game specialist Dragonplay raises $14 million for funds

The free play casino games specialist Dragonplay has raised $14 million strong funding round, managed by the Accel partners. Dragonplay currently enjoys a large fan base on android OS, but currently is planning to leap to iOS. According to the Dragonplay, this money could be used for acquisitions.

Accel has already invested in some of the most popular game makers on the android platform like Rovio, Playfish, Gameforge etc. Dragonplay has got an edge over its contenders as it chooses to grow out of the android first rather than the iOS.

The firm’s top selling title, named Live Holdem, already has acquired more than 12 million installs across the Android and Facebook and it also possess 2 million monthly users, and the game enjoys about 2 to 2.5 % of transformation rate over the Google platform.

The other titles released in the last 12 months include Live Black Jack, Sea Battle and farm slots. The Founder of Dragonplay Sharon Tal hoped of releasing more titles in few months as an outcome of the investment.

The money will also be used in the expansion of the studio’s team and dragonplay is also looking forward towards social gaming market in Asia.
