TweetDeck for Android app coming soon

TweetDeck one of the most popular Twitter clients brought by the social network last year. The company, now owned by Twitter, is now working on to bring a new Android app later this year.

The app is developed by Brit Ian Dodsworthm, has really been quiet after being acquired for an impressive $40 million last year in May and since then it has been put on the backburner.

The company came up with a new HTML5 version for desktop in the month of September. The new desktop version dropped the Facebook support, link shortening, keyboard shortcuts etc. which proved quite unpopular among the users. However, the company is gearing up to build a new cutting edge Android app.

A posting from the company’s website under job posting section states that the TweetDeck team working from London is looking for new team members to work on their new cutting edge Android app. Company also claims to be building next generation of apps suite of clients to use with social site that millions of people uses every day.

TechCrunch counts that the company is working on the similar app for iOS, but there are no more job requirements. With the Twitter’s big remake last year, the company tossed some of its key features like direct message lists, but we are hoping that the new breed will fill all the voids.
