If you own an Archos G9 Android tablet you might have noticed the change already. Archos announced the rolling out of the latest update for the OTA from yesterday. The Archos, have rolled out the update globally, company has asked all G9 users to look for the notification symbol A in the lower right hand side of the device. Users will need to click on the notification to download the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The update will bring G9 to a version 4.0.3. This update is expected to bring faster web browsing, multitasking, customized home screen, notifications, resizable widgets and social media integration. The update also features enhanced text input support and spell checking along with the better voice support engine and imaging abilities.
It also offers a redesigned gallery app along with a photo editor and Archos is also adding some of the key features to its tablet. It includes 1080p support for most of the video codecs, movies and TV shows. The update also features sharing of the contents wirelessly between tablet and a computer or any DNLA compatible device. Ethernet USB dongle support and an Archos remote control app allow you to control your tablet through any android device.
