Android tablets get a new application from BBC. This is exclusively a news application. BBC had released a news app last year also for Android smartphones. That app has been downloaded by almost three million people since its launch.
The new version of application released for tablets will give a better experience of news for the users. However, this new app can only be run on tablets based on Android Honeycomb. This app supports both portrait and landscape viewing. So, the user is required to have a tablet with screen of size more than 7.1 inches.
The user can personalize this app so as to see only news related to his interest. The user can also download videos on demand. These videos can be downloaded by connecting through 3G or Wi-Fi. BBC has also announced that they will be coming out soon with an international version of this news application.
