Lumia 900 is the latest version of Nokia smartphones. The specialty of this phone is that it is the first windows based phone. Since its announcement, it gained lot of hype in the market. Its large display and 4G LTE are the some of the best features it has. A few days back Samsung Galaxy Note had also created same hype. This is an Android based phone. Comparing these two phones will automatically mean the comparison between windows and Android operating systems.
Galaxy Note has a 5.3” screen with 800 X 1280 pixel resolution. Lumia 900 has a 4.3” display with 480 X 800 pixel resolution.
Both Galaxy Note and Lumia 900 come with 8 megapixel cameras. Lumia adds little extra features to its camera for better functioning. The extra feature includes auto focus, LED flash and geo-tagging. Lumia has a front camera with 1.3 megapixel capacity, and Galaxy’s front camera is of 2 megapixel capacity. However, both the devices can give high quality images and HD video.
Lumia measures 127.8 X 68.5 X 11.5 mm. It weighs around 160gms. Whereas Galaxy Note measures 146.9 X 83 X 9.7 mm and weighs 178gms.
This is the factor where actually we wanted to compare these two phones. Lumia is an outcome of agreement between Microsoft and Nokia. Galaxy is a leading Android based phone. It has already proved and grabbed a major share of mobile market.
This is one area where Lumia is dominated by Galaxy. Android has a clear margin on Windows with over 400,000 apps and windows operating system comes with barely 60,000 apps.
It is certainly difficult to decide upon a particular smartphone. Both these phones have their own pros and cons. It is up to the customer to decide upon which advantage he wants to take and which disadvantage he does not want to have in his smartphone.
