One has often been left wondering at the pace in which Samsung managed to bring out modifications to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and launch the same into the market; that too within weeks of a verdict passed against it by a court in Germany. The German court had banned this device as it was felt that it had infringed the design of the iPad from Apple. The thing that Samsung really did with this device was to make an increase in size of the provided metal bazel, which surrounded the screen of this slate. Along with this, the speakers were repositioned and with these minor alterations, the tablet has been re-launched in the retail market.

Samsung has taken full advantage of the fact that Apple had won its law suit only on the basis of the outward appearance being similar; hence they have made the required alterations necessary for giving the products distinctive identities on the outside without having to change its internal design. The new tablet has been named Galaxy Tab 10.1N.
