Acer Iconia Tab A100 now on sale starting at $329

The cheapest tablet to date, minus special deals being offered, is now the Acer Iconia Tab A100. Announced alongside its larger sibling months ago, the A100 will be the first 7″ tablet to sport Honeycomb, Android 3.2. The 7″ tablet will have a resolution of 1024×600, have a 5MP camera with 720p HD video capture, and all be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The A100 is also advertised to have 5 hours of battery life, which really doesn’t seem like that much, but you can’t fit the same sized batteries as the larger tablets out there. Other additions to the tablet include a 2MP front-facing camera, microUSB and microHDMI port, and a microSD card slot.

You can pick up the tablet at many retailers, but Wal-Mart has an exclusive 8GB version. Other stores will have a different 8GB version available for $329 and a 16GB version available for $349. Twenty extra bucks for double the memory? I’d say just jump on the 16GB version if your all over this mini-tablet.
