Samsung Galaxy SII with LTE pops up, codenamed Celox

The major factor that many people are deciding on getting the Samsung Galaxy SII for Verizon is whether it will be LTE enabled or not (as well as if Verizon changes the SII’s design too much). Now we have news that Samsung has created an LTE version of the Galaxy SII that will be released sometime this September.

Codenamed the Celox, this LTE version of the SII will show more similarities to its twin than other variants, keeping the one button in the front, but it will be upgraded to a 4.5″ display. There is also no word on whether it will keep the Exynos processor that people have been raving about, but the just leaked T-Mobile offering is supposedly not using that speedy chip.

We can only hope that this is destined for the US, and most importantly, into Big Red’s hands. The best part about this is that Samsung has found a way to squeeze some LTE into the hyped SII, so even if this phone doesn’t come to Verizon, it gives us a better chance the one that does will have some 4G speeds.
