Verizon set to release LTE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on July 28th

Verizon’s earnings call pointed towards their LTE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 being released sometime before the end of the month, and the latest leaked screenshot shows July 28th being that day. It looks like the grey version will be available in stores on that date, while the white version will only be available via direct fulfillment (online or on the phone). Pricing is what you would expect, with the 16GB version costing $529 and the 32GB version jumping to $629. There isn’t a listed price if you want to buy the tablet on a 2-year contract, but you can probably expect a $200 drop for each version. This will be the first tablet on Verizon’s network to actually be 4G LTE capable, so the 28th will probably be a sad day for XOOM owners.

Speaking of the XOOM, Verizon just chopped $100 off the price of the 3G XOOM (with a 2-year contract) in preparation of the Tab 10.1′s release. Signs are pointing to the tablet finally getting sd card support and LTE functionality within the next month, just in case you were still thinking of getting it.
