WiFi Motorola XOOMs getting Android 3.2 update in batches, sd card support included

Last friday news sprang up that the Motorola XOOM may be getting Android 3.2 sometime soon, and sure enough that day has arrived. People are reporting all over the US that their WiFi only XOOMs are getting an update, build HTJ85B, and that it is yet another update to the Honeycomb OS. What may be even better for you XOOM owners is that people that have updated have also noted that sd card support is finally enabled (it’s about time).

Android 3.2 doesn’t bring much to the XOOM, other than a new “zoom to fill screen” option for apps that haven’t yet been tablet optimized. There is should also be a few bug fixes to make your experience better. What are you more excited about though, the zooming feature or sd card support?

There is some bad news though. At the time it looks like this update is rolling to WiFi only XOOMs, and the updates are coming in small batches. So checking to see if there is an update available isn’t going to make it come any quicker. Stay as patient as you can and let us know when the update hits you!
