This is the same game we’ve played last month, waiting patiently for the next stock of Asus Eee Pad Transformers to hit retailers. Today it looks like many stores, at least online, have both the 16 and 32GB versions available, including Best Buy, B&H Photo, Amazon, and Tiger Direct (although they are selling the tablet with accessories). Just recently the Transformer has gotten the Android 3.1 update that we talked about during Google I/O, which brings along many upgraded features to the UI and Google’s new Movie Rentals. Plus you can’t forget about that amazing keyboard dock which has made this tablet choice so appealing.
The thing I would like to know is if this still is your tablet of choice. Recently there have been many announcements for tablets coming out within the next month. We’ve got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the 4G LTE getting pre-orders starting tomorrow, and the Toshiba Thrive coming on July 18th. Plus it is getting closer to an inevitable release of the Asus Eee Pad Slider, which will have a slide-out keyboard so you don’t have to worry about a dock. With all these tablets and more coming soon, are you less inclined than you were a month ago to get the Transformer? Let us know what your tablet choice will most likely be now.
