I’m guessing the majority of us don’t have the 5 phones that are compatible with the just released Netflix app. It looks like the devs over at XDA weren’t pleased with that, so they decided to port the app over to a couple of our favorite smartphones: The DROID X, DROID 2, and original DROID. Just because you have these phones though, doesn’t mean the app will just work, as an XDA member pointed out:
Note for DX: I’m running the first GB leak, rooted, build 4.5.573 and it’s working flawlessly. Some people on .588 are reporting it doesn’t work, those on .591 and .595 seem to be having success.
Most of the time it looks like any of these phones that are running some form of Gingerbread, whether from a leak or a custom ROM, then Netflix should work just fine. To make that point, I am running CM 7 on my OG DROID and the netflix app is working smoothly. Hit the source link for the app download and let us know how well it works!
