I know everyone has complained about the battery life on the Thunderbolt so I thought I would share the news you can get a slimline battery in a larger size for the Thunderbolt and keep the same rear cover. I’ve had my Thunderbolt now for a few weeks and never really had a problem with battery life. That’s because I set my phone up to not have a battery problem. There are many things you can do to lower your battery consumption down. To name a few – Go into Accounts & Sync under settings and scroll down to Stocks, Weather, and News and turn that stuff off from auto syncing, you don’t need it, your going to download your favorite news and weather apps anyway so why have both using up unnecessary resources, also turn off notifications from auto retrieving every 5 minutes to at least 2 or more hours, lower your screen display brightness way down, turn off 4G if you’re not rocking you tube, Pandora or down/up loading large files. And you can do what else I did and purchase several extra OEM home wall chargers for every-room including my office at work to keep the battery full all the time. You can pick up HTC wall chargers NEW on ebay for like $7.99. I would also like to report the results after using my 1700mAh extended charge Thunderbolt battery. Yes it actually does increase usage when away from home, office or the car. I found myself getting an extra 3 hours of use under normal operating conditions. My definition of normal is sending and receiving emails, checking Face-book, playing a few tunes, texting everyone, instant messaging, and of course my favorite – Tweetin.
Visit http://htcexpress.com 1700mAh Thunderbolt batteries, you can also find them on ebay just do a search on HTC THUNDERBOLT VERIZON 1700MaH BATTERY.
Good luck with your Thunderbolts, I hope you are liking yours as much as I do mine.
