Motorola XOOM gets an update to ready Flash 10.2

The Motorola XOOM is getting its first update since being released, but it doesn’t look like it will be the last. Motorola has said that this update is supposed to prepare for a firmware update, which should allow Adobe Flash 10.2 to be installed later on. They still haven’t given us a timeline for 10.2, only that it’s “coming soon”. The update also fixes a bug to prepare for Daylight Savings Time, which should be helpful since that time is coming up very shortly. You should start expecting your update to hit you within the next few days, but if you’re rooted/unlocked, you’ll have to re-lock and unroot your XOOM. We’ll be putting up full instructions for you soon. You will be able to re-root after you get the update, just in case you were wondering that too.
