We had suspected that the DROID Pro and DROID 2 Global weren’t getting the sales everyone expected, but we didn’t see this coming. BGR recently reported that Best Buy Mobile is informing employees that they are no longer selling either of these high-end phones. There is no explanation yet, but some rumors have suggested that there might be a pricing dispute between BBY and Verizon Wireless. I don’t know how true this is, but not having these phones at one of the biggest smartphone retailers is definitely going to hurt their already less than flattering sales.
So far there has been no statement made from either Verizon Wireless or Best Buy, but I’m sure something as strange as this will have a better explanation soon. Why do you think both the Motorola DROID Pro and the DROID 2 are getting taken off the shelves of Best Buy?
