HTC Desire HD is Not Upcoming DROID Incredible HD

I’m sorry if I’m breaking some peoples hearts right now, but it’s true. Thanks to a recent FCC filing, we now know that the upcoming HTC Desire HD being released in Europe lacks any use for 3G, let alone Verizon’s LTE service coming out soon. The picture above shows battery slot, where it shows (while not clearly) the Desire HD’s model number, PD98100.

For now this means that the only 4.3″ DROID phone you can get from Verizon is the DROID X. I feel so bad for you if that’s your only option (not). If you can’t live with that option though, don’t start crying yet. Verizon’s upcoming roadmap clearly states a DROID Incredible HD, so maybe HTC made 2 models of the same phone and one of them will have 3G (or LTE). It’s happened with other devices. We also can’t rely on the roadmap either. Just recently Motorola announced that they had no plans of a tablet until next year, which definitely means that we can’t believe everything that it has coming up.

We can only hope.
